I'm surprised that so many people didn't like this movie. It's just as good as the first movie. It does everything a good sequel should do: the characters are more fleshed out, it has more dark and mature themes, and the world of Narnia is explored more. The villain, Miraz, is a really good, intimidating villain. Caspian is a good, solid lead too. The changes were not all necessarily bad like Aslan coming into the movie near the end instead of the middle, and personally, I liked the scene where the Narnians try to take over the castle more than the book where the Narnians attempt to take over one of the tell marine's camps in the woods.
I get why parents complained about it being too violent for their kids. So, try reading the IMDB parents guide before you take your 7-year-old son to see a bag cut open someone's hand. Overall, it's a good follow up to a good fantasy film. I had hopes for this being good as the first. Was not really a good movie, but it wasn't terrible. Again ill give this movie a pass for it's acting since I have seen worse. I thought at least the acting would get better since the actors gotten older, but only a couple actors gave a good performance in the movie. The drama and suspense in this movie felt more reel than the first movies. so this movie evens out to a little less good than the first one was.
